A closed rustic metal gate invites viewers to peer over top into a lush garden overgrown with various shades of green foliage and hints of pink flowers. The scene evokes a sense of mystery and seclusion, surrounded by the towering presence of trees and shrubs.
Along a winding public footpath, beside the fast-flowing Clywedog river, by the village of Cyffylliog, in Denbighshire, North Wales, is this charming gated driveway. I found myself wondering what lay beyond such a lovely entrance.
About Marilyn Wilson
I consider myself to be primarily a nature and landscape photographer, who also enjoys creating digital art. I live on the west coast of Canada, on the southern tip of beautiful Vancouver Island, and nature provides much of the inspiration for my craft. I am lucky to have many birds and wildlife share my neighbourhood, and I will spend many a happy hour sitting outside with my camera, capturing their antics as they come to visit my yard. The many birds and deer have become used to seeing that crazy lady sitting on the porch pointing her black box at them, and, as a result, I have been lucky to have captured many of their images as they visit unafraid.
