This picturesque wooden footbridge spans the tranquil Japanese garden pond at the Hatley Park Gardens of the Royal Roads University in Victoria, B.C. This decorative setting is the site of many a romantic photograph. In spring, the ornamental pink blossoms from the tree across the zen-like pond, frame the bridge beautifully.
I consider myself to be primarily a nature and landscape photographer, who also enjoys creating digital art. I live on the west coast of Canada, on the southern tip of beautiful Vancouver Island, and nature provides much of the inspiration for my craft. I am lucky to have many birds and wildlife share my neighbourhood, and I will spend many a happy hour sitting outside with my camera, capturing their antics as they come to visit my yard. The many birds and deer have become used to seeing that crazy lady sitting on the porch pointing her black box at them, and, as a result, I have been lucky to have captured many of their images as they visit unafraid.
