A hummingbird is captured mid-flight with its wings blurred by the rapid movement. The bird hovers against a softly focused background.
I call this little guy Diablo. He is our resident hummingbird, who spends much of his day high upon a tree branch in our yard. He thinks he is an eagle. If any other hummingbird comes into sight near the feeder, he swoops down and chases them off into the neighbour's yard. I just love him.

I consider myself to be primarily a nature and landscape photographer, who also enjoys creating digital art. I live on the west coast of Canada, on the southern tip of beautiful Vancouver Island, and nature provides much of the inspiration for my craft. I am lucky to have many birds and wildlife share my neighbourhood, and I will spend many a happy hour sitting outside with my camera, capturing their antics as they come to visit my yard. The many birds and deer have become used to seeing that crazy lady sitting on the porch pointing her black box at them, and, as a result, I have been lucky to have captured many of their images as they visit unafraid.
