Description
A black and white striped lighthouse stands tall on a rocky outcrop near the water's edge, with a red-tipped top that showcases its light fixture against a moody sky. A small building with a red roof is adjacent to the lighthouse, and the scene is serene with soft, diffuse lighting and a solitary bird flying in the distance.
Built and illuminated in 1860, the Race Rocks Light is one of the first two lighthouses that were built on the west coast of Canada, near Victoria, B.C.
