The historic Fisgard Lighthouse was the first lighthouse on Canada's west coast and is still in operation. It was automated in 1929, and is open to visitors to experience some of the 19th century ambience of the lighthouse. It is situated in Esquimalt Harbour, in beautiful Victoria, B.C. on Vancouver Island, Canada.

I consider myself to be primarily a nature and landscape photographer, who also enjoys creating digital art. I live on the west coast of Canada, on the southern tip of beautiful Vancouver Island, and nature provides much of the inspiration for my craft. I am lucky to have many birds and wildlife share my neighbourhood, and I will spend many a happy hour sitting outside with my camera, capturing their antics as they come to visit my yard. The many birds and deer have become used to seeing that crazy lady sitting on the porch pointing her black box at them, and, as a result, I have been lucky to have captured many of their images as they visit unafraid.
