Sunlight filters softly through the slats of wooden blinds against a window draped with lace curtains, casting an inviting glow on the wooden furniture within a cozy room. An antique chair sits in front of a plant perched on a small wooden stand, contributing to the room's vintage charm.
This is a window in Victoria, B.C.'s Craigdarroch Castle. These antique lace curtains have been lovingly restored by volunteers.
About Marilyn Wilson
I consider myself to be primarily a nature and landscape photographer, who also enjoys creating digital art. I live on the west coast of Canada, on the southern tip of beautiful Vancouver Island, and nature provides much of the inspiration for my craft. I am lucky to have many birds and wildlife share my neighbourhood, and I will spend many a happy hour sitting outside with my camera, capturing their antics as they come to visit my yard. The many birds and deer have become used to seeing that crazy lady sitting on the porch pointing her black box at them, and, as a result, I have been lucky to have captured many of their images as they visit unafraid. I also frequent a nearby bird sanctuary beside the ocean, and the gardens of a local...
